We made our $5,000 goal.

Thank you for supporting our school. Let's go Heartland!!!

ATTENTION PARENTS, STAFF AND COMMUNITY!!!
HCS needs your help! This week is Safe Schools Week across Kentucky! Our friends at the Kentucky Center for School Safety are asking students, parents, staff and community members to pledge to keep our students safe.
HCS is currently ranked 6th in the state in the number of pledges received! You can help us move up the list and win the challenge!!!
Please click this link to take an approximately 20-second pledge to keep our students safe while at school: https://kycss.org/safe-schools-week/safety-week-pledge/

Due to the background, students should not wear green.
T/TH preschool will have their picture day in October.

High Attendance Day is tomorrow, Tuesday! We have some surprises in store for those at school. Plus students dress like adults and the adults dress like students.

Here is our newsletter for the week. Don't forget it's School Safety week and students can dress up. Midterms go home Thursday and picture day is Wednesday.
Have a great week!

Good morning … This is Heartland Elementary School principal Emily Campbell.
Our school resource officer placed our building on a soft lockdown for about three minutes this morning. That means that we could continue the instructional process. However, no one was allowed to enter or exit the building.
A domestic issue forced us into the soft lockdown.
As noted, the lockdown was lifted approximately three minutes after it started. All is well, and no students and staff were ever in danger.
This is a police matter and not a school issue. If you have questions, I’ll try to answer them as best as I can. You can call me here at school or send me an email.
Thank you for your cooperation, patience and trust!!
